There’s no doubt in my mind that Internet marketing has a pretty steep learning curve.  While it may be true that some new marketers hit it big quickly with some good timing, offline experience, luck, great contacts, and being correctly positioned, the majority of new marketers find success at a much slower pace.

What makes the pace even slower is getting stuck.  It’s like getting your car stuck in the mud – you spin your wheels, waste gas, waste time, throw mud all over… and don’t get anywhere.  You’re tired and frazzled and you’ve got nothing to show for it.

When I get stuck with my Internet marketing, I try to stop banging my head against the wall and come up with something that will be a positive action such as:

1.  Google the problem.
2.  Go to the Warrior Forum and look it up with the search function.
3.  Look in Yahoo Answers.
4.  Email my techie friend, my marketer friend, or my WordPress friend (which is one reason I love networking with other marketers.)
5.  Post my problem on a forum.
6.  Look for You Tube videos that might explain how to do it.
7.  Submit a help ticket.
8.  Just take a break, sometimes just stepping away and coming back later gives me a fresh perspective.

Traffic who doesn’t want more of it? It’s key to success in any online business. Without traffic, your business doesn’t exist. So how do you get more traffic? Here are a five simple but highly effective tips.

1. Write articles. By just writing one article a day and distributing it to a few article directories, you’ll start building a good amount of incoming links to your website.  People will read your articles and visit your site and the search engines will love the increase in incoming quality links.

2.  Advertise. Advertising on high ranking related websites is a great way to get exposure for your website as well as incoming links. Check to make sure that the website you’re advertising on does indeed get a large amount of traffic.

3.  Participate on forums. Forums are still a great way to gain incoming links and website visitors. More importantly, if you set yourself up as a trusted expert on the forums people will want to learn more about you and what you have to say.

4.  Use social networking. By building a large responsive following on Twitter and Facebook you can easily advertise your website for all to see. If people find your posts interesting they will want to know more about you and your business.

5.  Distribute a viral report. This is a fantastic way to gain publicity and visitors to your website. Write a free viral report on your topic and give it away for free.  Invite others to give it away too and you’ll soon have a viral tool making the rounds and bringing more visitors back to your website.

Building a business is a fantastic and challenging experience.  You wake up exhilarated to begin your day and you can go to bed feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.  The key to success is to maintain a positive, yes you can do it, mindset.

Easier said than done, right?  Here are 5 keys to help you create and sustain a positive mindset so you too can attain the abundance and prosperity you desire.

1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people.  This is so true, the influence people have over our own personal energy is amazing. Moods and attitudes are so easily spread – think about how much of a difference a simple smile from a stranger can make for your day and then magnify it 1000 times to demonstrate the power of positive and successful friends, family and associates.  When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want you to succeed, there’s no room for doubts and even when they creep up, they’re quickly swept away.

2. Create a mantra or an affirmation.  Repeating positive affirmations has been shown to get people through tough times and to actually help them truly believe what they’re saying.

For example, “I am building a powerful and profitable business.”  Many of the most esteemed business professionals have used the same affirmation strategy to attain their success.  To find the right affirmations for you, consider writing a quick list of your doubts, insecurities and complaints.  These can then be quickly turned into affirmations.

For example, if you write that you’re always feeling disorganized then your affirmation would be, “I am organized and in control.”  Repeat your affirmations several times a day and feel the power of positive thinking.

3. Capture negative thoughts.  We all have negative thoughts from time to time, however, negative thoughts and emotions can derail us and prevent us from achieving all we desire.  Of course catching those negative thoughts takes practice and persistence.  When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, find a trigger to turn them around.  The affirmations mentioned above are a great way to turn the negative into the positive.  You can also find quick pick me ups like a favorite song, a walk outside in the fresh air, or some exercise to help improve your mood.

4. Set goals/intentions and then be willing to let it go.  The law of attraction says that we attract what we focus on the most.  However, desperation, needing your business to be a success, sends mixed messages and a lot of negativity into the universe.  Set your goals and intentions and then let them go.  A certain amount of faith in yourself and in the power of attraction is necessary.  Give it a try.

5. Be grateful.  Gratitude is perhaps the single most powerful and positive tool for success.  When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life, the challenges you face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with.

Consider keeping a gratitude journal and make a practice of entering into it daily.  That way, when you’re facing challenges a quick peek at all the amazing things in your life will make you feel as if you can tackle anything.   Additionally, an attitude of gratitude helps you maintain a positive perspective and to face challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles.

Success is within your reach and with the right attitude you can accomplish anything you set your sights on.  Embrace these five powerful mind success strategies and you’ll build a better business and live a happier, more satisfying life.

Affiliate marketing can be a great way to make money.  Finding a niche market with products and services you trust and believe in is the first step to success.  There are tremendous affiliate programs which offer you an abundance of tools and materials to promote and market their products. However, what you do with those tools and materials is entirely up to you.  You can be just another affiliate or a super affiliate.

What Is A Super Affiliate?

Technically speaking a super affiliate is someone who generates a significant amount of profits for the products or services they represent.  A super affiliate can make a healthy living from their affiliate business alone while a standard every day affiliate may need to supplement their affiliate income with, gasp…a 9-5 job!

We all know somebody who seems to always get it right. No matter what happens the person seems to always land on their feet. While others are treading carefully so they will not step on land mines, this person is coasting through life and doing just fine. In other words they are manifesting abundance.

The good news is that the Law of Attraction teaches us that manifesting abundance is something everyone can learn with practice. The person in the above example has simply become so good at attracting good things that it comes to them naturally. So can it be with you as well. I know it has worked for me. Since I have put the Law of Attraction to work in my life I have attracted so many good things.

We attract good into our lives. This includes the abundance and prosperity that comes from a home business. If you wish to work at home and the thought of making money online appeals to you, then believe that it can happen for you. This is not simply the power of positive thinking but it is instead a law of the universe that has worked for centuries. The great news is that it is still working today and it can work for you as easily as it worked for me! We are both a part of the same universe after all!

You need to redefine your present reality and create for yourself the reality that you want for yourself. Do this by focussing on having what you want in life. Stop focussing on the “have nots” of life. Realize that the hope for a successful home based business is within your grasp. Of course it will involve a great deal of work and commitment but whether it is weeks, months or years down the road, it is possible! Once I knew and understood this very special and important law of the universe, how could I use it to help me in my life as opposed to having it hinder my attempts to better my life?

The Law of Attraction has the betterment of all people in mind. It is a law that is concerned with abundance and prosperity. As described in the book “The Secret” written by Rhonda Byrne in 2006, the Law of Attraction is rooted in Quantum Physics. The idea behind it is that like energy attracts like- positive thoughts attract positive results and the same works for negative thoughts and results.

In order to receive the abundance and prosperity that you desire in your business life you must follow a simple rule- ask, believe, receive. First you must know exactly what it is you want. Be clear as the universe loves clarity. Then you must ask for what you want from the universe. Then you must believe that it is within your reach. Feel and act as though what you want is on its way to you. It is as if you have ordered an item from a catalogue and are waiting for it to arrive. Finally you must be open to receive what you have asked for. Sounds simple and easy, right?

It can be if you are open to all that the universe has to offer you. Abundance and prosperity can be yours!

If you have been in Internet Marketing for a bit, you have most likely heard the term “social marketing.”  It’s another term for social bookmarking.  That’s not the same as bookmarking a favorite site on your own browser.  What you do in social bookmarking is save favorites to a particular site on the Internet.  This makes your favorite places public (if you want them to be) and friends and family can see what you like as you cruise about the web.

There are a lot of social bookmarking sites and most of them require you to register.  Once you do that, you can save all your bookmarks for public view.  Most sites allow you to mark some things as private if you only want to share with a few friends rather than the entire world.  When your bookmarks are public, visitors can do a search by keyword or even by your name and find out what favorites you’ve saved.  This works the other way as well.  If you hear of someone whose product you find interesting, do a search for them on the social bookmarking sites to see what they’re doing.

The biggest advantage to social bookmarking is driving traffic to your sites.  It is really a form of free advertising and a way to promote your sites with only a small investment of time.  It will give you a leg up on other marketers in your particular niche.

It’s best to update your bookmarks on a regular basis.  This is the easiest way to bring visitors to your sites.  One popular bookmarking site is delicious.com.  This site automatically organizes your bookmarks by what tags you put on them.  A tag is a description of the bookmark and you can use as many as you want.  The more tags you have, the better your favorites will be organized.  You will see traffic in a very short time once you start submitting to delicious.com and similar sites.

Bringing visitors to your site through social bookmarking happens in a variety of ways.  For instance, the more links you have pointed at your site, the higher your page rank is with the search engines.  Because social bookmarking sites have so many links on them in the first place, their own page rank is higher.  This gives links back to your site more value with the search engines.

What happens next with all these links pointing to your site is that you’ll get higher search result rankings.  This means that being on the first page of the search results out of 10,000 pages of results will bring in a ton of new traffic.  People are much more likely to click on a site that sits at or near the top of the page than they are to wade through thousands of results.

A lot of people browse through these social bookmarking sites every single day.  If you have enough links on there to capture some interest, you’ll get some clicks to your site.  Also, people search the social bookmarking sites constantly because they know a real person is behind the bookmarks.  Random search engine results are not as appealing as seeing what other people are doing.

People are always interested in people.  Get busy developing the art of social bookmarking so you can bring some of that traffic to your own site.

Let’s start this with what going viral means.  In Internet Marketing it can be a video clip, ebook, report, blog post, etc., that gains huge popularity and is spread quickly, like a virus. How it is spread is through social media and one very successful way is through Twitter.

What that means to you as a marketer is that instead of just hoping and praying for your brand, or report, or article to go viral, you can use various methods to help it along.  In many ways, Twitter is like the perfect storm… it’s riding a huge wave of popularity right now, Tweeters know what they like and aren’t afraid to tell people, it’s easy for Tweeters to pass on information, and it doesn’t cost you a dime – only a good product and some well-placed tweets with a link to it.

Let’s assume you have a brilliant report you’ve just written and it’s free for anyone.  Inside the report are your affiliate links to other products or at the end you point to your even more brilliant product.  You want this report to go viral and to get in as many hands as possible for obvious reasons.

Try using a call to action in your tweet about your report.

This can be as simple as asking people to retweet (RT) your tweet.  Just make sure your tweet is around 130 characters rather than the 140 to leave room for your @name to go at the beginning when someone retweets it.

The call to action can be other requests such as “Which do you like better…?” “Help me get 20 comments on my blog post…”  “What do you think about…?”  “Pls check this out…”  You’re asking people to take some sort of action, which includes having them click the link you’ve provided in the tweet.

Consider making your tweet off-the-wall or a little outrageous to get noticed.  “This won’t help you get into your skinny jeans, but it could help you grow your customer base…” or “On the way to the bathroom I came up with a fantastic idea for a great destination wedding package…”

If you retweet other peoples’ tweets, they’re likely to return the favor.  You can hope they will, or if you’ve developed a rapport you could ask them.  People like to be nice and retweeting is an easy way to do that.  Of course, you shouldn’t be retweeting just to get on a marketer’s good side, you RT because you like what the original tweeter had to say.

When you’re putting a tweet out there and asking someone, anyone, to retweet it, keep in mind that people come to Twitter at different times of day.  It’s okay to do your tweet a few times in a day (and changing the wording each time) to get exposure to different people.  Make sure you are doing 5-10 tweets in between though, so you don’t come across as a pushy person or a spammer.

Using Twitter is a great way to help your brand, blog post, report, video clip, etc. to go viral.  So be sure to ask for the retweet, make your tweet interesting, and give something of value.

There are so many different types of affiliate programs out there to choose from.  It’s often difficult to know which are the best programs to promote.  Here are a few tips to help you find the best affiliate programs:

Life-time cookies – A really good affiliate program will offer life-time cookies.  Unfortunately, some shopping cart systems don’t allow the vendors this feature, which isn’t so great for you – the affiliate.  A life-time cookie means that you will get paid for referring a customer who makes a purchase through your affiliate link even if they buy at any point in the future.

Training and Customer Service – A good program will provide training tools and resources for their affiliates.  Ideally, they should have a member’s area where you can log in and grab promotional materials, your links and check your stats and commissions.

Good communication is also important.  If you email an affiliate program with a question and don’t hear back from them or hear back from them 2 weeks later, what will it be like if you ever have an issue with payments or other important question?  A good affiliate program will respond to your questions in a timely manner.  By the same token, a good affiliate will make sure they read all the provided materials provided on the website before contacting the program.

Sales Pages that Convert – Before promoting a specific product, have a look at their sales page.  Does it look like it will convert into sales?  If a sales page is sloppy, has grammar and spelling mistakes, or just looks unprofessional, you may not make too many sales – no matter how good the product is.

Now that you know some of the things you should look for in a good program, here are a few things you should be careful of!

Advertisements and Google Adsense – If you’re promoting an ebook and sending customers to a sales page, be weary of sales pages with Google ads or other types of advertisement on the sales page.  If you’re working hard to send traffic to that page, it’s not fair that your traffic will be used to make someone else money through ads (without you getting paid anything in return).

If you see a sales page with other ads on the page, I say stay away.  You work hard as an affiliate and you don’t want to waste your efforts on generating traffic to your affiliate program only to lose sales to the other ads on the affiliate webpage.

High Sales Minimum – Watch out for programs who ask you to sell a certain amount before being paid.  For example if the commissions on a $20 eBook are 10% (that’s $2 per sale) and they ask you to accumulate a minimum of $200 dollars in commissions before they send you payment, that’s a whole lot of books you need to sell before getting paid – 100 books to be exact.

Get some instant pay and direct pay affiliate programs to promote.  You get paid instantly and directly into your account and don’t have to meet any minimum requirements before you can be paid.  These type of affiliate programs should be simple to promote and offer a great product or service at a reasonable price.  There are several of these types of affiliate programs listed here that I have received many payments from.  These programs are affordable for everyone, pay you instantly and are easy to promote with all the resources and tools you need to be successful with them.

If you wish to earn money online, and let’s face it, who doesn’t, then starting a home
business is a smart way to go. To make fast cash you first must come up with a
business idea that will sell.

Ask yourself the right questions in order to fine-tune your business idea. Here are a few
suggestions to get you going:

-Is the product or service that you wish to sell something that is in demand? Is it
something that people need all of the time or it is more of a seasonal thing?

-Have you researched your market thoroughly? Do you know what demographic

you are aiming for?

-Do you know what type of prices is in line with the market standard for your wares?

-Is there a tremendous potential for growth in terms of the industry of your choice?

-What will make your products/services stand out and be recognized?  What makes

them special?

-Do you know who your competition is? Is the competition stiff?

-Will you manufacture your own product or buy it from a supplier? If you choose to go

the supplier route then can you guarantee that your supplier is responsible and
reliable?
